Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Our theme for the weekend is Love & War. God calls us to love Him first and then to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Until we become receptive to God's love and filled with Him, we will never be able to love ourselves and pour that love over into the lives of others. Satan is always at war with us. He may not be able to "have" us since we are sealed with the Holy Spirit, but he can certainly influence us and keep us from receiving and sharing God's love. We are at war and even though it may be a rough battle, stay hopeful. In the end, satan loses!
